Jenex Corporation and UTEK Corporation Announce Strategic Alliance for Healthcare and Consumer Products Technology Transfer


BURLINGTON, ONTARIO & PLANT CITY, FL – (Business Wire) April 29, 2004 – Jenex Corporation (TSX-V: JEN), a company focused on developing unique consumer and healthcare products, and UTEK Corporation (AMEX: UTK), an innovative technology transfer company, announced jointly today the signing of a Strategic Alliance Agreement.

 

Michael Jenkins, Chief Executive Officer of Jenex Corporation, stated, “We are very pleased to retain UTEK to help identify proprietary technology acquisition opportunities to potentially expand our product line.   In addition, Jenex will work closely with Pax Technology Transfer Ltd., a UTEK subsidiary located in the United Kingdom to identify potential partners or licensees for their Therapik® product for insect stings and bites.”

Through its strategic alliance agreements, UTEK assists technology companies in enhancing their new product pipeline with the acquisition of proprietary intellectual capital from universities and laboratory research centers.  Strategic alliances agreements are cancelable by either party with 30 days written notice.
