THE JENEX CORPORATION (“Jenex” or the “Corporation”) (TSX Venture Exchange – JEN), Michael Jenkins, President and CEO of Jenex reports the Company has entered into an agreement with Web Design & Engineering of Akron, Ohio to complete the engineering and design work for their cold sore prevention device product.  Web Design has been instrumental in the engineering and design of many recognizable and successful industrial and consumer products.

Mr. Jenkins states,” we are pleased with our new relationship with Web Design and their ability to fulfill our current and future needs. This engagement keeps us on target for our scheduled product launch in the first quarter of 2004.”

Jenex has proven their patented technology effective against HSV-1, the herpes virus that causes cold sores. In 2000, the Corporation received approval to make the following claim in Canada: “For prevention and relief of the symptoms of herpes labialis (cold sores), such as blistering, lesions, inflammation, and discomfort.  Also helps alleviate the embarrassment that typically is associated with herpes labialis (cold sore) out breaks.”

Between 20% and 40% of the population age twelve and over experience two or more cold sores per year.  Jenex has the only product approved for the prevention of cold sores.
